SoundBlocker Membrane is an effective lightweight sound blocking membrane to help soundproof ceilings and stud walls and is only 1.2 mm thick and very flexible.

DESCRIPTION.
This innovative material utilises up to date technology, synthetic rubber and special fillers producing a revolutionary acoustic membrane designed to be sandwiched between two layers of high density Acoustic Plasterboard for best results.
This SoundBlocker acoustic membrane is nominally only 1mm thick and provides minimum loss of room space for maximum noise reduction. This product is only 2Kg/m² and is easy to handle and carry.
Work on soundproofing a ceiling can now be carried out by a single person as the roll is simple to work with making for a quick, easy, home improvement product.
The membrane easily folds and bends round corners and edges to protect against flanking sound and is similar to Sheetblok and Acoustiblok but much cheaper!!!
Not only is it versatile but boasts a very high Performance noise reduction of up to 22dB Rw for minimal thickness when hung as a curtain and is well in excess of Part E of the Building Regulations for noise control when used in conjunction with other sound insulating materials. Although this product has a high sound insulating value, like similar sound barrier mats, it will not improve a structure by this amount but when correctly installed, will significantly improve the sound insulation of any lightweight structure.
