System Overview
This thinner Lite Laminate acoustic underlay system more efficiently reduces airborne and footfall noise when used beneath laminate or lightweight wooden floors. It is far superior to alternative thin laminate floor underlays as our data shows.

Description.
Our Lite Laminate System is designed specifically to reduce the impact (walking/footfall) & airborne noise creating when walking on a laminate, engineered wood and solid timber floors.
When you walk on these surfaces a large amount of impact as well as airborne noise is created (due to the hard surface) this can often be a nuisance to the people living below.
The system is made up of two parts,
Our Acoustic Laminate Underlay a 4.2mm layer of high density resilient rubber sponge with a foil faced moisture & thermal barrier laminated to one side. This can be easily cut with a knife or scissors. The system is supplied with the following products included;
A layer of Acoustic Laminate Underlay – (11m x 1.37m x 4.2mm thick.) per roll
2 x Layer of Soundproofing Mats – (1.2m x 1.2m / 4ft x 4ft) per mat
Special Spray Adhesive (15oz 426 gram cans)
Aluminium Jointing Tape – (46 linear metres and 48mm wide)
The system is easy to fit with little D.I.Y experience and is simply laid directly on the floor. There is no need for a laminate underlay when using this system.
For an enhanced reduction in noise, our Bronze or Silver floor cavity system should also be installed between the joists before installing a laminate floor.
If you can afford to lose approx 15 mm of floor height we would advise you consider our more efficient Gold Carpet Acoustic Underlay System instead of the normal Acoustic Laminate Underlay beneath any type of t&g hardwood flooring.

We advise to always add a few extra of each product to allow for wastage from offcuts.
Please note: This system is effective at reducing normal noise levels, that should not normally be heard, for example talking, radio and TV sound. Loud music and bass noise will always be audible although its intensity will be reduced.
